DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN COSTA RICA
Upon your arrival at Juan Santamaria International Airport in San José, you will be transferred privately to the Balmoral Hotel, an elegant establishment located a short walk from the main historical buildings of the capital. Dinner on your own and overnight stay.

DAY 2 – EXCURSION TO POAS VOLCANO, LA PAZ WATERFALLS, AND DOKA COFFEE PLANTATION
Depart at 6:00 AM from the hotel for a guided excursion to Poás Volcano, featuring a gigantic crater that measures 1.3 km in diameter and 300 meters in depth. After visiting the volcano, you will stop at La Paz Waterfalls, located within a privately managed protected area where you can also visit a butterfly and reptile house. Return to the hotel by 6:00 PM, dinner on your own, and overnight stay.

DAY 3 – HEADING TO THE CARIBBEAN COAST
Depart at 6:30 AM from the hotel for a 3-hour transfer to La Pavona pier, the main boarding point for Tortuguero National Park. After a 90-minute boat ride, you will arrive at Pachira Lodge, where lunch will be served immediately. In the afternoon, visit the small village of Tortuguero, and for those interested, visit the Turtle Conservation Museum. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 4 – EXPLORING TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, participate in a boat excursion through the park’s canals where you can admire numerous animal species hidden within the dense tropical vegetation, including tapirs, caimans, sloths, and the rare manatee. In the afternoon, join a local guide for an interesting walk along the lodge’s private trails, rich with butterflies and tropical frogs. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 5 – FLYING TO BAHIA DRAKE
Breakfast at the hotel and departure by boat to the nearby Tortuguero Airport for your flight to Bahia Drake, a true natural paradise and gateway to the incredible Corcovado National Park. Upon arrival in Bahia Drake, you will be transferred to Punta Marenco Lodge, a cozy eco-lodge nestled in the wild vegetation of the Osa Peninsula. Lunch at the lodge’s restaurant and free time in the afternoon to relax at the hotel or explore this lush coastal area. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 6 – GUIDED EXCURSION TO CORCOVADO NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast at the hotel and departure by boat from the lodge for a full day dedicated to exploring Corcovado National Park, described by National Geographic as “the most biologically intense place on Earth.” Throughout the day, your guide will lead you along various jungle trails, helping you spot numerous animal species inhabiting the intricate rainforest. Picnic during the excursion and return to the lodge in the afternoon. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 7 – SNORKELING EXCURSION TO CAÑO ISLAND
After breakfast, depart by boat to Caño Island, a must-visit for snorkeling enthusiasts. Upon arrival, your guide will accompany you to explore this underwater natural sanctuary, and you will be provided with all the necessary equipment for snorkeling. During the excursion, enjoy a picnic lunch at the wild San Josecito beach. Return to the hotel in the afternoon with free time. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

DAY 8 – HEADING NORTH ALONG THE PACIFIC COAST: MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at the hotel and a 90-minute boat transfer to Sierpe, through the largest mangrove system in Central America. From Sierpe pier, continue with a shuttle transfer to Manuel Antonio, home to the renowned Manuel Antonio National Park, considered one of the world’s top ten most beautiful parks. Upon arrival, stay at Hotel Karahe, located right on the beach. Afternoon at your leiusure to relax on the beach.

DAY 9 – GUIDED TOUR OF MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, start the day with a guided tour of the nearby Manuel Antonio National Park, where a network of well-marked trails traverse tropical beaches and rocky outcrops surrounded by rainforest. After the tour, you can stay in the park and enjoy its beautiful beaches.

DAY 10 – LEISURE DAY IN MANUEL ANTONIO

Breakfast at the hotel and a day at your leisure to relax on the beach.

DAY 11 – HEADING TO THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS: MONTEVERDE CLOUD FOREST
Morning at your leisure to relax on the beach. In the early afternoon, depart with a shuttle transfer to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, a true natural sanctuary for the numerous animal species that inhabit it. This area is home to over 400 bird species and more than 100 mammal species. Upon arrival in Monteverde, stay at Monteverde Villa Lodge, a cozy hotel built almost entirely from local wood.

DAY 12 – CANOPY TOUR, HANGING BRIDGES, AND SLOTH SANCTUARY
After breakfast, you’ll be taken to Selvatura Park, a nature reserve nestled in the region’s characteristic cloud forest, where you’ll fly above the canopy on Costa Rica’s most famous and longest canopy tour, and walk on the famous hanging bridges. Before lunch, visit the Sloth Sanctuary, an area dedicated to the conservation of these incredible mammals, recently opened to the public in collaboration with the Caribbean Sloth Sanctuary. Return to the hotel in the afternoon, dinner on your own and overnight.

DAY 13 – DEPARTURE
Breakfast at the hotel and departure with a private transfer of about 3 hours to San José International Airport.
