DAY 01 – ARRIVAL IN COSTA RICA
Arrival at San José International Airport and private transfer to Park Inn by Radisson, a modern and elegant hotel located just a short walk from the main historical buildings of the capital. Dinner is not included. Overnight stay.

DAY 02 – TOWARD THE CARIBBEAN COAST
Departure at 6:30 a.m. from the hotel and a 3-hour transfer to La Pavona Dock, the main embarkation point for Tortuguero National Park. After a 90-minute boat ride, you will arrive at Pachira Lodge Tortuguero, where lunch will be served immediately upon arrival. In the afternoon, you will visit the small village of Tortuguero, and those interested can also visit the Sea Turtle Conservation Museum. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 03 – DISCOVERING TORTUGUERO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will embark on a boat tour through the park’s canals, where you can admire numerous animal species hidden within the dense tropical vegetation, including tapirs, caimans, sloths, and the rare manatee. In the afternoon, a local guide will accompany you on a nature walk along the lodge’s private trails, home to butterflies and tropical frogs. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

DAY 04 – CENTRAL HIGHLANDS: LA FORTUNA AND THE MAJESTIC ARENAL VOLCANO
Buffet breakfast at the hotel, followed by a boat ride through the Tortuguero canals back to La Pavona Dock, where you’ll continue by minibus to Guapiles for a lunch stop. Here, you will pick up your rental car and drive to La Fortuna, a small tourist town at the foot of the majestic Arenal Volcano, which is currently dormant but was one of the most active in the world until recently. Upon arrival in the early afternoon, you will check into Volcano Lodge & Springs, a beautiful property surrounded by greenery and featuring hot springs available for guests. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax at the hotel.

DAY 05 – GUIDED HIKE ON THE “ARENAL 1968” TRAIL

After breakfast, the morning is free for you to visit the famous La Fortuna Waterfall. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a guided hike along the scenic “Arenal 1968” trail, a 4 km route offering stunning views of the Arenal Volcano and the extinct Cerro Chato crater. Later, you’ll be taken to the Ecotermales Hot Springs to relax in the pools warmed by natural sources from the volcano’s slopes, followed by a delicious dinner.

DAY 06 – ALONG LAKE ARENAL TOWARD THE CLOUD FOREST OF MONTEVERDE

The day is at your leisure to drive to the Monteverde Cloud Forest, a true natural sanctuary home to numerous animal species, including over 400 bird species and more than 100 mammal species. Upon arrival, you will check into Monteverde Villa Lodge, a cozy structure built almost entirely from local wood.

DAY 07 – CANOPY TOUR, HANGING BRIDGES, AND SLOTH SANCTUARY

After breakfast, you will drive to Selvatura Park, a natural reserve set within the cloud forest, where you can soar above the forest canopy on Costa Rica’s longest and most famous Canopy Tour and walk across the famous hanging bridges, offering a unique opportunity to admire the ecosystem from a privileged perspective. Before lunch, you will visit the Sloth Sanctuary, an area dedicated to the conservation of these incredible mammals, recently opened to the public in collaboration with the Caribbean Sloth Sanctuary.

DAY 08 – TOWARDS THE PACIFIC COAST: MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will drive to Manuel Antonio, the next destination on your trip. It is home to Manuel Antonio National Park, considered one of the 10 most beautiful parks in the world. Upon arrival, you will check into Hotel Karahe, a cozy beach hotel just a short walk from the lush Manuel Antonio Beach.

DAY 09 – GUIDED TOUR OF MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, you will depart for a guided visit of Manuel Antonio National Park, where a network of well-maintained trails weaves through tropical beaches and rocky promontories surrounded by rainforest.

DAY 10 – LEISURE DAY AT MANUEL ANTONIO

A full day at your disposal to relax on the beach.

DAY 11 – DEPARTURE

You will drive back to San José, where you will return your rental car near the San José International Airport.
